A Humble Beginning
in Sri Rangam
In 2010, Amuthu Veg Restaurant began as a small tiffin stall just steps away from the magnificent Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple gopuram. Our founder, inspired by the temple's tradition of offering pure, sattvic food to pilgrims, set out to create a place where every meal felt like a blessing.
What started with just three items on the menu — idli, dosa, and filter coffee — has grown into a beloved institution serving over 5,000 guests every month. Our recipes are rooted in Tamil Nadu's temple kitchen traditions, passed down through generations of temple cooks and refined over 15 years of daily practice.
Every dish we serve is 100% pure vegetarian, prepared without onion or garlic on auspicious days, and always made fresh from locally sourced ingredients and pure cow ghee. We don't just serve food — we serve devotion.
